The Unity of the Church is an important Biblical principle and important to our congregation. Therefore, Grace Reformed Presbyterian Church is a member church of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC).
Each local church deals with matters peculiar to itself (eg., the reception of members, Sacraments, worship, etc.). Other matters that relate to the churches of a particular region are dealt with by regional churches, which are called a “presbytery.” Grace Reformed belongs to the Presbytery of the Midwest of the OPC. The annual gathering of Teaching and Ruling elders from all the Presbyteries is called the General Assembly, and it deals with matters that relate to the whole church (eg., foreign missions, relations with other denominations, etc.).
